Salvation in Jesus
Many people have a misconception that salvation is their safety net when they die. Yes, it does give us the right to heaven–we become children of God, our sins are forgiven, by His stripes we are healed. But it is so much more!
Salvation is also the right to call upon the Lord and He will answer you. It is the right to have a relationship, a deep heartfelt mind-altering relationship, with Jesus.
Salvation does not kick in at death–it’s a daily reminder of what is and what is yet to come. Salvation is not just insurance. It’s assurance of all the promises of God throughout the entire Bible.
Walk daily in your salvation. It’s a right given by God. Salvation is a decision. Salvation is a lifestyle.
How to Ask Jesus Into Your Heart
1) Realize you are a sinner
Romans 3:22-23 – This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference. FOR ALL FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.
2) Penalty for sin is death.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
3) Christ paid your penalty
1 Peter 3:18 – For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.
4) You must repent
Acts 3:18-19 – But this is how God fulfilled what He had foretold through all the prophets, saying that His Christ would suffer. REPENT, THEN, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
5) You must accept Christ by faith.
Ephesians 2:8 – For it is by grace, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.
6) You must confess Him as Lord
Romans 10:9 – That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved…. Vs.13 for. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Pray this prayer to Jesus.
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I know You died on the cross for me. Now I turn from my sins and ask You to forgive me. I now invite You into my heart and into my life. I now trust You as Savior and follow You as Lord. Thank you for saving me.

Romans 8:10-17
But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who lives in you.
Luke 24:45-47
Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day. And repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.
Ephesians 1:4-10
For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and His will– To the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have redemption in His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment–to bring all things in heaven under one head, even Christ.
Ephesians 1:13-14
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promise of the Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of His glory.
John 6:35-40
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
